Gabrielle Alike Hawkins graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Film Production. She studied at The Met Film School in London where she studied producing and received a Certificate of Completion. Gabrielle has worked on short films, features and music videos. She started as a production assistant working in music videos with artists such as Beyonce, The Roots, and John Legend. She worked with top music video directors Gil Green and Dayo Harewood.
Gabrielle worked on a documentary called "Do the Math" about climate change as an assistant editor. The documentary directed by Jared P. Scott & Kelly Nyks by PF Pictures follows activist Bill McKibben and 350.org during his road show to bring awareness about the subject as well as the Keystone Pipeline.
Her film work includes working on the critically acclaimed Chris Rock film "Top Five". She also worked on "Will of Fortune" directed by Chloe Bellande which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. At the age of 27, she worked as an assistant director on the award-winning film "Alto" directed by Mikki Del Monico. She is also a photographer and in 2012 had a 4-day exhibition of her 7-picture series called "States of Minds". The series was also part of the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) in Redhook, Brooklyn.
